Hello, my name is Zaeger Jones. My time upon this planet began in the summer of 1975 at the University Hospital of Wales in Cardiff. In those early days, whilst attempting to make sense of everything, I found myself drawn to putting crayon to paper. Creating all those bizarre doodles felt amazing! I had found a true friend in art. These days, I don't use the crayons so much. My main weapons of choice now are Acrylics, Oils, Spray Paints, Inks & Graphite, but I do still create bizarre imagery! My paintings contain characters that lurk deep within my imagination, each image a snapshot of my psyche if you like. The overriding themes in my work are nostalgia from my childhood and how I (as an adult) interpret the goings on in this world. I am also fascinated by human traits such as our frailties, emotions, tendencies, dark sides, light sides, quirks etc. Such fertile territory for ideas and inspiration.
